The challenge for holistic educators is to develop beyond the general goals inherent in standardized curricula and working models for schooling that allow the growth and delivery of more humane forms of education on a day-to-day basis. We refer to this as 'sustainable holism'. Sustainable models of education must pass the most stringent test of all: engaging students every day of their schooling lives as well as standing up to scrutiny from parents, governmental agencies, and the research community. In short, we expect our students to become more curious and more passionate learners in ways that they, we, and other informed observers can measure.
By combining the wealth of practical experience of Jurgen Zimmer, Alan Wagstaff, and Brad Choyt, School for Life has created a working model for sustainable, holistic education that has been many in gestation.
We walk the talk.
